Company Overview
Pace School is an Approved Private School (APS) and Partial Hospitalization Program located in Churchill, serving approximately 130 children (K-12) with Autism and Behavioral challenges, from Allegheny County and neighboring county school districts. Our Mission is to provide educational and therapeutic services that enable any child to thrive. Nurtured by the expertise of parents, teachers, and counselors, our students overcome educational and behavioral challenges to create successful and meaningful lives. By blending both academic and behavioral services into their learning environment, students can achieve maximum benefits. Pace programs are redefining the Learning Experience for students with Special Needs.
Company History
In June 1967, a small group of dedicated parents and professionals planted the seeds of a new school. Opening with just 26 students in rented space in a McKeesport church, the school provided a caring environment with individualized instruction where children advanced at their own “pace.”
From those seeds, Pace School has grown into a state licensed Approved Private School and Partial Hospitalization Program serving more than 140 children each year from school districts through Allegheny and surrounding counties. To expand the reach of its mission, Pace opened Pace Learning Center, a private academic elementary and special education school in Butler County from 2008 to 2016 and also operated special needs classrooms/consultation in public school settings.
Nurtured by the expertise of dedicated teachers, behavioral health staff and parents, thousands of young people over the years have overcome educational and behavioral challenges to create successful and meaningful lives.
Regardless of the challenge or diagnosis, Pace finds a way to provide each child the opportunity to thrive.
